During this injectable treatment, the solution is injected into the predetermined treatment areas of the face to block any signals sent from the muscles to the brain. This process temporarily paralyzes the muscles to keep them from contracting and causing wrinkles to show on the skin.
JUVÉDERM® and What It Does
JUVÉDERM® is a gel-like substance that contains a modified form of hyaluronic acid (HA), which is found naturally in your body. HA is responsible for hydrating your skin by attracting and retaining moisture, stimulating collagen, and helping to keep its supple structure. JUVÉDERM® fills, tightens, and smooths the skin where it is injected, giving you beautiful results on the surface of your skin. JUVÉDERM® can be used to increase lost volume in the cheeks, under the eyes, in the lips, and even on the hands.
Their Similarities
Both treatments are FDA approved. They also offer the same no-downtime experience, so you can resume normal activities immediately after your injectable treatment session. The only restriction is rubbing the treatment area. Do not rub the treatment area as this can affect the final results.
